Dr. Carli Hays earned her Bachelor of Science in Exercise and Movement Science from Missouri State University in Springfield before obtaining her Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Missouri – St. Louis College of Optometry.
During her academic journey, Dr. Hays was recognized for her excellence in pediatric care, receiving the Good-Life Award, as well as the Missouri Optometric Foundation Private Practice Award. She served as an officer for the Missouri Optometric Student Association, National Optometric Association, and St. Louis Optometric Society.
Dr. Hays is highly trained in diagnosing and managing ocular diseases such as diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, cataracts, and glaucoma. She completed her disease-based clinical rotation at the Kansas City VA Hospital and further honed her skills through clinical rotations at Resler-Kerber Optometry and Galanis Cataract and Laser Center. Her clinical interests also include fitting multifocal contact lenses, treating dry eye disease, and managing myopia.
Growing up in Kirksville, MO, Dr. Hays now resides in the St. Louis area. In her free time, she enjoys running, spending quality time with her family, and cheering on the St. Louis Cardinals.
