Dr. Kristin Doerfler earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Health Sciences from the University of Missouri, Columbia, and went on to receive her Doctorate in Optometry from the University of Missouri-St. Louis College of Optometry. She graduated with honors and is a proud member of Beta Sigma Kappa, the International Optometric Honor Society.
During her time in optometry school, Dr. Doerfler served as the President of the National Optometric Student’s Association, a student-run organization that promotes the presence of minorities in eye care. Her dedication to community service is evident through her participation in a OneSight Mission trip to Kansas City, Missouri, where she helped provide free eye exams and glasses to over 100 children.
Dr. Doerfler completed her disease-based clinical rotation at the Kansas City VA Hospital, gaining extensive training in diagnosing and managing ocular diseases. She has been recognized for her excellence in Binocular Vision and Vision Therapy during her clinical rotations.
Originally from O’Fallon, Illinois, Dr. Doerfler now resides in St. Peters with her husband, Dan. In her free time, Dr. Doerfler enjoys listening to True Crime podcasts and spending quality time with her family.
